She has since worked for several high-tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and is currently employed by IBM Corporation. Since 1992, she has worked as a volunteer for Maitri, a non-profit organization providing aid to South Asian immigrants caught in marriages to abusive husbands. She resides in San Jose with her husband.
